These beautifully scented, handmade solid shampoo bars are a sure way of being plastic free in your bathroom. They are all made with natural ingredients and scented with essential oils and come wrapped in paper, no plastic – yay!
These essential oils were chosen as they are all fantastic for the hair and scalp, encouraging hair growth.
Like Soap and Pamper soaps they are made in small batches and are approximately 70g, and are cut by hand so they are usually a little heavier!
Please note these bars contain no SLS or synthetic ingredients therefore the lather will be different to what you are used to.
All shampoo bars at Soap & Pamper are handmade in Plymouth using ingredients that are 100% natural, palm oil free and vegan friendly, use the traditional cold process method to make all solid bars.
Avocado Oil, Olive Oil, Shea Butter, Castor Oil,
Pine, Lemongrass, Lavender, Orange, & Patchouli essential oils
Wet hair thoroughly then either rub the bar directly onto the hair, or into your hands.
Massage the shampoo on your scalp and through the length of your hair. Rinse well, repeat if necessary.
**If you blow dry your hair use cool air to get the best results.**
Lavender essential oil recently gained attention for stimulating hair growth. Lavender also has antimicrobial properties, this means it helps prevent bacteria and fungi from growing. When applied to hair or scalp, this may prevent common hair or scalp issues. In particular, it may prevent itchy scalp or dandruff and even infections. Lavender essential oil could help prevent head lice. It may even kill head lice. Lavender is sometimes used as a home remedy for skin inflammation and burns. Using it in essential oil form may be good for scalp inflammation and dryness. As an extra benefit, lavender has a wonderful smell. Its aroma can literally calm down your nervous system.
Patchouli essential oil’s anti-inflammatory and antiseptic properties make it exceptional for treating many scalp and skin issues. People with dermatitis, dandruff and eczema can significantly benefit from patchouli oil because these ailments can be the underlying cause of hair loss.
The compounds in lemongrass oil are known to possess antifungal, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and insecticidal properties. And thanks to its antioxidant properties, it can also prevent the growth of yeast. Lemongrass is even known to help with headaches!
Orange: The antibacterial qualities contained in the citrus flavanone of the orange make it suitable as a treatment for hair infested with lice and can kill their eggs. It’ll reduce any itchiness or irritation that usually occurs on the scalp during an infestation. You can effectively use orange oil as a natural substitute for anti-dandruff shampoos that can leave some hair types feeling dry or brittle. Orange oil works as a natural moisturiser and will increase the elasticity of hair follicles. This will prevent breakage as well as nourish the follicles from the root. In turn, you will have hair that is healthier, stronger, and more resilient. The vitamin C dilates the blood capillaries when massaged into your scalp. This means that your blood will be improving circulation to promote hair growth.
Pine Essential Oil is reputed to exhibit an antimicrobial property that cleanses to remove bacteria as well as a build-up of excess oil, dead skin, and dirt. This helps prevent inflammation, itchiness, and infection, which in turn enhances the hair's natural smoothness and shine
