Why reusables?

Disposable nappies are one of the largest contributors of single-use plastic. On average the UK throws away 3 billion nappies a year, taking around 300 years to break down when in landfill. That is around 2-3% of all household waste!

The Baby Tribe wants to help combat the ‘disposable lifestyle’ we have fallen into to help save our planet for generations to come.

The average baby will be fully potty trained at around 2.5 years old, in that time they will get through around 4000 disposable nappies. That is roughly £1900 using own brand disposables. 

The average cost of full time reusable nappies is anywhere up to £400 for full time clothing. So that’s an average saving of around £1500. And people say that the eco options are the most expensive!

The Baby Tribe’s goal is to save on plastic waste and help you save money while we’re at it!

We continue to search for and add eco-friendly and reusable products to our shop to combat the throw away lifestyle or make it as eco-friendly as possible!
